USDs Rawlins Piano Trio to play spring concert
The renowned University of South Dakota Rawlins Piano Trio will perform its final South Dakota concert this season on Monday, April 6th in Vermillion. The performance begins at 7:30 pm, and will be held at Colton Recital Hall in the Warren M. Lee Center for the Fine Arts on the USD campus.
The musical program is entitled “In Memory of a Great Artist”, and it will feature “Trio in F Major, Op 22” by Johann Nepomuk Hummel, and “Trio in A Minor” by Piotr Illyitch Tchaikovsky.
The Rawlins Piano Trio was founded in 1987, and it has distinguished itself at performances around the world. Named after benefactors Marjorie Rawlins, and the late Robert Rawlins, the ensemble consists of musical artists who are faculty members in the USD Department of Music, including Eunho Kim, violin, Marie-Elain Gagnon, cello, and Susan Keith Gray, piano.
