The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at USD is grateful for our partners who help us financially and by providing resources and educational opportunities to our members.

Financial Partners

These organizations have contributed financial support and services to OLLI:

  • Avera
  • Dacotah Bank of Brookings
  • Sanford Health
  • South Dakota Humanities Council
  • University of South Dakota’s Community College for Sioux Falls

The Bernard Osher Foundation began to consider programs targeted toward more mature students not necessarily well served by standard continuing education curricula in 2000. The interest of many older adults, especially those who have retired, is in learning for the joy of learning – without examinations or grades – and keeping in touch with a larger world. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at University Center (OLLI) was established in 2006, and has received a million dollar endowment from the Osher Foundation to fund this program in perpetuity.
