The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute offers the opportunity to teach adult learners who are curious and have a passion for learning. At OLLI there are no grades, no tests, no credit – just the pleasure of sharing your knowledge and experience with those who greatly appreciate that gift. These unique students truly appreciate their courses and the expertise of those that teach them.
OLLI seeks instructors to teach a wide variety of areas, including:
Instructors are welcome in Sioux Falls, Brookings, Vermillion, Chamberlain, Pierre and De Smet. Preference is strongly given to those who have had significant teaching experience.
Class scheduling is flexible, but typically a class meets once per week for two to four weeks, sixty minutes to two hours per class. You may also choose to offer a single lecture on a compelling topic. Classes are offered days, evenings and Saturday mornings. OLLI has two semesters per academic year: Fall (September - November) and Spring (March - May).
If you are interested in teaching an OLLI class, please download, complete and submit the course proposal form, along with a current résumé, to the address below.
