Because of the changing landscape in national healthcare and the practice of dentistry, as a dental hygiene student or graduate, you have the opportunity to advance within your career with the undergraduate or graduate certifications in dental hygiene leadership.

As a dental hygienist, you can provide clinical services in a variety of settings such as private dental or corporate dental practice, community health settings, nursing homes, hospitals, prisons, schools, faculty practice clinics, state and government facilities and Native American reservations.

There are also career opportunities in education, research, sales and marketing, public health, administration and government.
