Entrepreneurship Boot Camp was a single-day workshop that helped faculty, staff and students learn how to successfully market scientific research in the business and commercial sectors. The workshop was open to faculty, staff and students from all disciplines.
H. Dan James has led Jamesolutions, Inc., a company focused on sales excellence, for the last six years. Prior to this, Dan concluded his 43-year career with the DuPont Company, where he acted as chief sales officer for the $30 billion corporation. While in this newly created role, Dan led a global team that delivered innovative compensation, sales management, recognition, negotiation and basic professional selling skills programs that improved sales and earnings results.
Gary Archamboult is program director for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program in the South Dakota’s Governor’s Office of Economic Development. SBIR helps qualified small businesses propose innovative ideas that meet research and development needs of the federal government with the potential for commercialization.
Jeff Andersen, J.D. built up more than 10 years of experience as a practicing patent attorney prior to joining UNeMed as its contracts specialist. He draws on that experience in conducting his current responsibilities, which include drafting, negotiating, reviewing and processing various agreements. These agreements facilitate and promote both the research efforts of the University of Nebraska’s researchers and the protection and monetization of the university’s intellectual property. A native of Omaha, Jeff holds a Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law.
Blaine Crissman manages South Dakota Equity Partners. From 1999 to 2002, Mr. Crissman served as a principal at Bank of America Capital Investors and was responsible for originating, analyzing, structuring and monitoring mezzanine and equity investments. He is a founding member of the Private Equity Advisory Board at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He has over 20 years of experience in financing and investing in middle market companies. He holds an M.B.A. degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a B.A. in economics and finance from Augustana University.
