The doctoral (Ed.D.) program from USD to become a school district superintendent has been developed to meet your specific needs and background. With a flexible curriculum and a wide range of electives, you not only get a general background in educational administration and leadership but a focused plan that is customized to match your career goals. This program requires 90-95 credit hours and draws upon theory, research and experience to create skilled leaders in education.

Educational Administration and Leadership: School District Superintendent (Ed.S.)


The specialist (Ed.S.) degree with specialization in school district superintendent specialization is designed as a post-master’s degree for practicing teachers and/or administrators in the field. The coursework is conveniently offered online while the practical field-based internship is completed under the supervision of experienced school administrators.
