IdeaFest is a two-day event held each spring and includes presentations from undergraduate and graduate students spanning a range of disciplines. This year’s event will feature presentations from over 300 students.

“It is always amazing to see the research, creative scholarship and other educational experiences our students are involved in; they are incredible,” said Mandie Weinandt, faculty chair of IdeaFest and director for the Center of Teaching & Learning. “We hope everyone will join us for IdeaFest and share in the wonderful accomplishments of USD students.”

The event also features keynote speakers, student panels to discuss relevant topics of interests, performance excerpts from the College of Fine Arts and a Three Minute Thesis (3MT) showcase, where the top 3MT award winners and a select group of undergraduate students will present their research in three minutes or less.

The keynote speakers for this year’s symposium include Amy Elliot, Ph.D., chief clinical research officer at Avera Research Institute, and John Banasiak, professor of art at USD.

The symposium is free and open to all students, faculty and staff, and community members. Most of the events will take place in the Muenster University Center on USD's campus.
