Haley Duffield, a USD Beacom School of Business accounting student, was recently awarded a $10,000 scholarship by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). This scholarship is granted to one student at 332 colleges and is awarded for their interest and aptitude in accounting and for exhibiting high ethical standards.

“It is very rewarding to see Haley’s efforts recognized on a national level,” said Srini Ragothaman, Ph.D., professor and department chair for the accounting and finance division. “Her dedication and academic aptitude made her the ideal candidate for the scholarship.”

In addition, the South Dakota CPA Society awarded the following students accounting excellence scholarships for the 2019-2020 academic year:
