Coyote jazz festival

Since 1975 the USD Coyote Jazz Festival has featured high school music programs from South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota.

For high school jazz bands and jazz choirs.

Since 1975 the USD Coyote Jazz Festival has featured high school music programs from South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota. A competitive festival, the event is also an excellent opportunity for performing groups to receive written and recorded feedback from exceptional jazz educators and performers. Trophies are awarded for outstanding performances in each high school class (A-4A).

Entry Fee: $175 per group.

Refunds available until March 1. Ensembles will be accepted by the receipt of the entry form and payment of the registration fee. To assure acceptance and to prevent scheduling problems, please submit your entry form immediately. Entries will be accepted by submission date and time as scheduling permits. Payment due February 19. You may not be scheduled until payment is received.

*Classifications are based on the 2023-24 grades 9-12 enrollment.

Note: Complete one entry form for each group and name them separately (e.g., Jazz 1, Jazz 2, etc.)

By checking below you are confirming that your school is in compliance with all U.S. Copyright Law and your school has properly secured the licensing (permissions) needed for all arranged music used. If you have not secured proper licensing in compliance with U.S. Copyright Law your school will not be allowed to perform until proper licensing has been secured.

You will receive email confirmation after you have completed online registration. If you do not receive an email, you may not be registered!
