Master of Science in Administration (M.S.A.)

A cross-disciplinary program that provides the primary tools and organizational skills necessary to effectively perform administrative roles in public service oriented organizations.

The program benefits mid-career professionals working in a variety of settings, including government agencies, nonprofit and social service organizations, health care and education - as well as private sector organizations that provide public services.

Admission Requirements

  1. Completed Graduate Application

  2. $35 application fee
  3. Official transcript(s) verifying receipt of an undergraduate degree and previous graduate credit earned
  4. Three letters of recommendation
    Letter of Recommendation Form
  5. Statement of Purpose
  6. Resume
  7. Professional experience (minimum of three years)

The Classroom & Beyond

  • Faculty led study trips to Italy and Ireland are now available. Political science, criminal justice and international studies majors are eligible to receive Farber Funding.

  • This active club organizes trips, brings speakers to campus, hosts an evening film series and sponsors other social and academic activities throughout the year.

  • A wide variety of internship experiences are available to students, who are especially encouraged to intern with the U.S. Congress and the SD State Legislature.
