The nonprofit sector is a diverse and interdisciplinary segment of civil society that relies on the engagement of employees, volunteers and charitable contributors to deliver a broad-range of public services in the US and abroad. The overarching goal of the Nonprofit Studies Minor is to prepare students with the knowledge and skills needed to work in the nonprofit sector as employees, volunteers, board members and external stakeholders.
The Nonprofit Studies Minor pursues this goal by offering students access to coursework, service learning opportunities and professional/social networks to enhance their capacity to contribute to the nonprofits we rely upon to advance shared missions and visions.
