Physician Assistant Studies
Physician assistants have the training, flexibility and agility to respond immediately to the demands placed on the U.S. healthcare system.
The University of South Dakota offers the only Physician Assistant Studies Program in South Dakota. The program has a 100 percent job placement for graduate, and many of the graduates practice in the state's rural areas.
A physician assistant (PA) is a medical professional who is nationally certified and state-licensed to practice medicine. By design, physicians and PAs work together as a team. PAs deliver high-quality care and research shows that patients are just as satisfied with PA-provided care as they are with physician care.
