Employment and Careers at USD

Each of our employees plays an important part in USD’s success and has the opportunity to change the lives of students. USD provides opportunities and facilities associated with large institutions while maintaining a close-knit feel. We're pleased you want to be a part of our university community.

USD is an equal opportunity employer. We use an online employment system for South Dakota Board of Regents institutions. Use this system to search for openings at USD, complete an application, and attach application materials.

We are currently transitioning online employment systems. You can view our new openings on our new platform, or view previously posted but still open positions on the old system. If the job links do not work, clear your browser cache and delete your old bookmarks to our job postings. Chrome is the suggested browser. Contact USD Human Resources (605-658-3660) for assistance.

Campus Safety

The University of South Dakota is committed to the safety and security of our students and employees. To educate our community members about important policies and to help keep our community safe, we prepare the Campus Safety and Fire Safety Report yearly. This report is available online through the University Police website. This site contains information required under the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security and other important campus security information. The site also includes crime statistics from the three previous calendar years—including information about on-campus locations, University-affiliated or controlled off-campus property, and public property adjacent to campus. A paper copy of this report may be obtained by contacting University Police at 605-658-6199.
