Lima will be working in both the tax and advisory areas over the course of the summer. When asked about her internship, Lima said, “New York City has always been my long-term goal as a financial center of the world.”

Lima is no stranger to summer internships. In 2017 at the end of her freshman year of study, Lima completed an internship for PwC in Chicago.

Outside of academics, Lima is currently involved in many organizations throughout the university. She serves as the president of Financial Management Association as well as president of Coyote Capital Management, a student-managed investment organization with over $1.9 million AUM and the largest student organization in the Beacom School of Business. Additionally, Lima is also involved in SERVE, Union of African American Students, Beacom Consulting Group, and Beta Alpha Psi.

“Ms. Lima’s opportunity to intern, first with PwC last summer in Chicago, and now with Deloitte in New York City as a sophomore, is a truly remarkable accomplishment and is evidence of her outstanding ability,” said Tom Davies, chair of the accounting and finance division. “The Beacom School of Business is fortunate to place a number of graduates with Big Four, national and regional firms accounting firms and other high quality employers, and we are grateful for having a strong relationship with many successful alumni at Deloitte and other firms that help our current students achieve their professional goals.”
