Rapid City Medical Campus

Located near the Black Hills, in the heart of downtown Rapid City, the campus has been providing training for medical students since 1948.

Located in the heart of South Dakota's largest city, the Sioux Falls campus resides on the campus of Sanford Health and Sanford/USD Medical Center.

The Andrew E. Lee Memorial Medicine and Science Building serves as the home for the Sanford School of Medicine and the School of Health Sciences.

Focus on Rural Medicine

We have long been recognized for excellence in rural medical education. Our Frontier And Rural Medicine (FARM) program is a unique opportunity for select Pillar 2 students to receive nine months of clinical training in rural communities with the goal to increase the number of primary care physicians who practice in rural South Dakota areas.
