Individual Campus Visits

When: Monday - Friday

Come check us out for yourself! You’ll go on a personalized tour of campus, meet with an admissions counselor and learn what’s in store for you as a Coyote. Individual campus visits typically last between 90-120 minutes. All visits are by appointment only.

While registering for your campus visit, select your arrival time on the link below. You will also have the opportunity to request appointments with academic programs and other departments on campus by selecting “Add to Itinerary” while completing the campus visit registration form. Requests are confirmed upon department availability and will be included with your visit itinerary.

When you arrive on campus for your visit, make your way to Parking Lot 18 between Slagle Hall and the National Music Museum and park in a reserved spot marked “Admissions Visitor Parking.” Once parked, call the Office of Admissions at 605-658-6223 to check in. Then, a student ambassador will meet you at your vehicle to begin your campus tour.

Saturday Morning Visits

If you want to visit campus on a weekend, then you're in luck. Come to USD for a Saturday Morning Visit, where you will tour campus and meet with an admissions counselor to learn about the admissions process and get a preview of life as a Coyote. Available Saturday morning visits typically last 90 minutes and begin at 9 and 10:30 a.m. All visits are by appointment only and may have limited capacity.

When you arrive on campus for your visit, make your way to Parking Lot 18 between Slagle Hall and the National Music Museum and park in a reserved spot marked “Admissions Visitor Parking.” A student ambassador will meet you at your vehicle and begin your visit.

Coyote Visit Days

There's nothing like stepping foot on the USD campus to experience it for yourself. Join us during a morning or afternoon session for an overview on admissions, scholarships, academic programs, life as a Coyote and a tour of campus. We think you'll like what you find.

Check-in for Coyote Visit Day begins at 8:45 a.m. for the morning session and 12:45 p.m. for the afternoon session. All visits are by appointment only, and each session may have limited capacity.

Admitted Students Day

When: February 11 and February 25

Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of South Dakota! Join us in celebrating your admission with a program designed for accepted students. During your visit on either February 11 or February 25, you'll have the opportunity to interact with current students and participate in sessions to help prepare you for your life as a Coyote.

If you are an admitted student, watch for your invitation via email to sign up for this event. Please contact your admissions counselor if you want more information.

Native American Visit Weekend

When: April 1-2 (event still pending)

Held in conjunction with the Building Bridges Conference and Tiospaye Student Council's annual traditional Wacipi (pow wow), Native American Weekend Visit provides Native American high school students and their counselors the opportunity to experience the college setting while gaining an increased awareness about the importance of persistence in education.

Fall Open House

When: Fall 2022

Our Fall Open House is a great opportunity for you to live the #YoteLife for a day. During your visit you will receive an overview of admissions, scholarships, academic programs and life as a Coyote. There's nothing like a fall Saturday on the University of South Dakota campus, and we want you to experience it for yourself. By the end of the day, you'll want to spend every fall with us!

Virtual Visits

When: Monday - Friday

Virtual visits typically last between 30 – 45 minutes, where you will meet online with an admissions counselor to go over topics such as the admissions process, financial aid, student life and how USD can help you meet your educational goals. If available, a representative from your academic program of interest may later join the online meeting as well.

After you sign up, you will receive an email prior to your virtual visit with a link to the online meeting.
