Each of our majors begins with the freshman/sophomore (First/Second Year) curriculum. During the first two years of a four-year program of study, you will complete the liberal learning requirements of the university and the prerequisites for admission to the business majors.
The Pre-Major Business Core must be completed before full admission to the School of Business major is granted.

Accounting: Bachelor of Business Administration
Accounting graduates provide general accounting, audit, tax, financial planning and management consulting services.
A Joint Bachelor of Business Administration /Master of Professional Accountancy Fast-Track Option (B.B.A./M.P.A.)
Accounting majors meeting requirements for entry into the M.P.A. program may opt to complete both the Accounting B.B.A. and M.P.A. concurrently. Students who pursue this fast-track option will be awarded their undergraduate and graduate degrees simultaneously, upon completion of the two programs.

The Classroom & Beyond
The Theta Upsilon Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi is the national scholastic and professional accounting fraternity. The primary objective is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the field of accounting.
The accounting club enhances your understanding of the accounting profession and increases your awareness of career opportunities in the field through participation in club activities.
Professor Srini Ragothaman, teaches undergraduate and graduate auditing, accounting information systems, principles of financial accounting and principles of managerial accounting. His research interests are in the areas of PCAOB regulation, professional ethics, financial statement fraud and others.
