Health Sciences Major

Find your fit in the health care field.

As a health sciences major, your degree will help you start your path to graduate school, launch your career in the health care field or advance your existing career. You'll gain real-world experience through service learning and hands-on practice. We offer the most options for a health care degree in South Dakota, which means you're right where you need to be to take the next step.

Our graduates work in:

  • clinical practice as occupational therapists, physical therapists and physician assistants
  • management in positions such as director of community programs and director of housing for people with disabilities
  • the insurance industry as underwriting specialists and customer service representatives
  • technical health professions such as diagnostic medical sonography and cardiac ultrasound technology (via transfer agreements at area technical colleges)
Whether you're interested in clinical practice, research, technology or the health care industry, we have pathways that will help you reach your goal.
