The online Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.) degree with Organizational and System Leadership specialization meets the growing demand for nursing leadership that practice at the organizational and systems level. This program prepares nurses for a high-level career in the health care industry. Students will learn the skills needed to lead within complex systems, and they can hold administrative positions in hospital and ambulatory care, private consultation, clinics, government agencies, academia and businesses.
The Department of Nursing will collaborate with the USD Beacom School of Business to offer the D.N.P. program, which broadens the perspectives of students and strengthens their ability to engage in interprofessional practice. The curriculum prepares students to incorporate principles from nursing science and other related disciplines in areas of finance, budget and policy, information systems technology, patient care improvement, health care business, population health and ethics into their practice.
Ideal for nurses in mid-level nursing management and management positions this degree will allow students to assume leadership roles within health care organizations. Students will earn the skills to succeed in health care.

Eligible Doctor of Nursing Practice committee chairs will be assigned for project oversight.
