Our sustainability program addresses some of the world’s most pressing challenges. We emphasize experiential learning where we find solutions to real-world environmental, social and economic problems.
The program provides training in how to understand and address complex, interdisciplinary problems and work with people from a variety of backgrounds. Our faculty members actively conduct research on a range of environmental, social and economic issues.

VERMILLION, S.D. – Starting in fall 2020, undergraduate and graduate students at the University of South Dakota can earn a certificate in geospatial analysis, giving them the expertise to collect, analyze and visualize spatial data.
