A University of South Dakota student hopes to bring an awareness and understanding of migrant workers to the community by telling their stories through various forms of media.
Junior graphic design major Veronica Knippling was honored with an Undergraduate Research Excellence Award for her project titled, “The Stilwell Papers.” Her research project made significant contributions to both the University of South Dakota and the broader community of researchers interested in art education.
The 37th annual Stilwell Student Awards Exhibition presented by the University of South Dakota College of Fine Arts will be on display from Jan. 20 to Feb. 17. in the John A. Day Gallery in the Warren M. Lee Center for the Fine Arts. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and the opening reception and awards ceremony will take place on Jan. 20 from 5-7 p.m.
